adidas Superstars live up to their name as the top-selling shoe in the United States. Who else makes the cut?
For more than a decade Nike has had the highest selling sneaker in the United States, but 2016 data from research firm NDP Group shows that the iconic shell-toe sneaker from adidas has snatched the crown in a historic move.
The monochromatic Superstar from adidas was a style staple in 2016, with bloggers, taste-makers and celebrities all ditching Nike and sporting the retro sneaker with three stripes.
